Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on changing the automatic negative thoughts that can contribute to and worsen emotional difficulties, depression, and anxiety. Through CBT, these thoughts are identified, challenged, and replaced with more objective, realistic thoughts.

 
 

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

COMPREHENSIVE or INFORMED
DBT is a modified type of CBT. Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.

  • Comprehensive: This program involves the full treatment of DBT, and usually takes from six months to a full year to complete.

  • Informed: This program includes a DBT-informed treatment plan that doesn’t include all the components of comprehensive DBT but may still help an individual build a better life.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

ART uses relaxing eye movements and a technique called Voluntary Memory/Image Replacement to change the way in which the negative images are stored in the brain. The end result is that traumas and difficult life experiences will no longer trigger strong emotions or physical reactions. Importantly, clients do not even have to talk about their traumas or difficult life experiences with the therapist to achieve recovery.

 
 

Gottman Method Couples Therapy

This approach to couples counseling includes a thorough assessment of the your relationship and integrates research-based interventions based on the Sound Relationship House Theory. The goals is to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy; and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of your relationship.
