Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an innovative, evidence-based form of psychotherapy that offers rapid relief from trauma and other mental health challenges. Developed to help people process distressing memories without requiring them to verbally recount traumatic events, ART combines elements of traditional therapies with unique techniques to reduce emotional distress quickly and effectively. Through ART, clients often experience significant improvement in symptoms related to PTSD, anxiety, depression, phobias, and more, often in just a few sessions.

ART sessions use a combination of guided visualization and specific eye movements to reframe how the brain stores traumatic memories, aiming to diminish the distressing emotions associated with these memories. This process helps “rewrite” negative images in the brain, allowing clients to experience a sense of peace and resolution without revisiting the painful details aloud. ART is highly client-centered, allowing individuals to work at their own pace and comfort level.

The benefits of ART are particularly powerful for those who may feel overwhelmed or retraumatized by discussing past experiences. Because of its ability to deliver fast, profound results, ART is gaining recognition as a valuable tool for therapists and clients alike, offering a pathway to healing that feels safe, effective, and empowering.
